A large feed manufacturing plant using GEN system is completed in Kagoshima.

A regional Marui Organic which is a group company of Marui Farm Coop Group has completed the largest Gen system plant and started feed manufacturing operation from this September. Gen system plants are under operation in 8 locations throughout Kyushu already, but this new plant is by far the largest one in size. The Engineering was done by a Chisso Group company.

Marui Organic has been utilizing local distillery wastes in making organic fertilizers, however, they have decided to build this new plant to make high value feed instead.

New plant details are as follows;
Address: 644 Euchi, Takaonomachi, Izumi city, Kagoshima
Capacity: 75 tons (max) of distillery waste can be treated daily.
11 tons (max) of feed product can be made.

This is the second plant feed company has built based on GEN system after Nishida Barley Processing in Yasshiro City, Kumamoto but the new one is twice in size and it has impressive feed related facilities as well.

Feed products will be mainly used by their own group but they also sell some to outside as well. They aim to create an industrial recycle cluster model, i.e. local distillery waste is processed into high value feed which contributes in strengthening local brand of local farming.
